Myth Buster

The most common question I get asked is, “How can I get ranked higher on Google?” Those that ask are under the misconception that simply having a website will automatically move you up the ladder. WRONG! There are many actions you need to take to rank higher. When I rattle off some of the items on the list, their next response is, “Oh.”

If you’d like an excellent synopsis of exactly how you can ascend, read this article. It can be quite a daunting and overwhelming task, but it does work. Personally, it is always on my to do list to read up on and learn more about SEO. I often feel overwhelmed and get lost in a sea of open tabs linking to several articles and YouTube videos. Nonetheless, I know that bits of information somehow find a place to reside in my brain that I can pass along.

The Surefire Trick

The single action that does get you to the top of Google search is using Google Ads, formerly known as Google AdWords. Guess who is using them? GOOGLE! I searched “Google Ads” and low and behold they are running 2 ads themselves. Below these paid ads are the cream of the crop websites who have done their due diligence to rank on the first page of Google.

Give It A Go

Hopefully your business is back up and running again. If I were you I would allocate some of your budget and give Google Ads a spin.

They can be tricky to get up and running so my advice to you is:

  • Utilize their support channels

  • Watch YouTube tutorials

  • Hire someone to do the work for you
